Mr. Madhav Hari Joshi brings over 50 years of distinguished experience in civil and structural engineering, spanning some of India’s most technically demanding infrastructure and industrial projects.

A B.E. (Civil) graduate from Pune University and M.Tech in Structural Engineering from IIT Kanpur, with a Post Graduate Diploma in Software Technology from NCST, Mumbai.

He began his career at Tata Consulting Engineers (1975–1995), where he served as Design Engineer on three nuclear power plants — Narora, Kakrapar, and Tarapur (500 MW) — and pioneered in-house computer programs using the Finite Element Method (FEM), publishing extensively in national and international technical forums. He subsequently joined thyssenkrupp Uhde India Pvt. Ltd. (formerly Uhde India Pvt. Ltd.) in 1995 as Manager (Civil), rising to Head of Department – Civil in 1999, where he led civil engineering delivery across numerous national and international chemical, petrochemical, and industrial projects.

In recognition of his expertise, the Government of India appointed him in 2007 as a Technical Expert Member on the Civil Engineering Safety Committee of the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board, a role he continues to serve in actively. A passionate mentor, he has conducted numerous training programs for young civil engineers, championing innovation, economical yet robust earthquake-resistant design, and the standardization of design practices. He continues to provide specialized technical advisory services to leading organizations, including EY and KPMG, on a project basis.
